Malir Expressway Project: Abbas orders expediting work

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas has directed Administrator of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to submit a comprehensive report on Malir Expressway project within two days.

Presiding over a review meeting on the project, CS advised secretaries of finance, local government and revenue departments to ensure coordinated efforts for the implementation of project that would be 47.62 kilometre long and five metres high from the riverbed. The Malir Expressway would start from super highway along Malir River banks and end at seacoast. The total length of its link roads would be 23.5 kilometre that would also connect the National Highway to the Super Highway. The Malir Expressway would shorten distance for exit and entry in the city, provide direct link to airport and facilitate DHA City and Education City.
